Downtown Westmont's Cass Avenue is closed to traffic through Sunday, July 12, as the Taste of Westmont fills three blocks with food booths, live music, and vendors. Admission is free.

The four-day festival, which opened with a limited Thursday evening session on July 9, shuts down Cass Avenue from Burlington Avenue to Naperville Road. The event draws more than 30,000 visitors over four days, according to organizers.

Drone show rescheduled to Saturday

A drone show originally planned for the village's Saturday, July 4, celebration will now take place Saturday, July 11, at 10:15 p.m. near the main stage at 246 N. Cass Avenue.

"We were unable to follow through on the scheduled drone show at the 4th of July Celebration, so we've made plans to have the drone show at the Taste of Westmont," Mayor Steve Nero said in a village announcement.

What's different in 2026

Organizers repositioned the main stage farther north on Cass Avenue to create more viewing space and moved the main beer tent farther south, according to the village's civic alert. The South Stage, near Dolce Restaurant & Wine Bar at Cass and Burlington, received upgraded sound and lighting.

Nero said the village tied this year's entertainment to a patriotic theme marking America's 250th birthday, working with Onesti Entertainment to book Grand Funk Railroad's former lead singer Mark Farner and country artist Alli Walker alongside tribute acts. More than 100 musicians are scheduled across the two stages, according to the village announcement.

Festival layout

The main stage sits next to NEAT Kitchen + Bar at 246 N. Cass. A food court featuring local restaurants occupies the Manning School parking lot near 211 N. Cass. Craft and commercial vendors line the avenue south of Norfolk Street. An all-ages carnival provided by Alpine Amusements is at Cass and Irving.

The Westmont Special Events Corporation, an independent volunteer-run nonprofit, organizes the festival. WSEC President Steve Golembiewski said the event requires hundreds of volunteer shifts and urged residents to sign up.
