Woodridge residents can show up at any of four parks Friday, July 17, and land a spot in an official Park District promotional video.

The Woodridge Park District announced Wednesday, July 15, that it is partnering with Downers Grove-based Concept One Media to film across the village in a single morning-to-afternoon shoot. The footage will feature parks, facilities, and programs, and the district wants real residents in the frame.

The four-stop schedule runs from 9:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.:

  • 9:30–10:15 a.m. — Fishing at Lake Harriet, 7000 Woodridge Drive. Bring your own poles and bait.
  • 10:30–11:15 a.m. — Skating at Janes Avenue Skate Park, 7927 Janes Ave. Bring your own skateboard.
  • 11:30 a.m.–12:15 p.m. — Zip-lining and playing at Ide's Grove West Park, 1825 Compton Road.
  • 12:30–1:15 p.m. — Cooling off at the Hobson Corner Park Splash Pad, 2910 Hobson Road. Wear a bathing suit.

The district's announcement does not mention registration; participation is walk-up. Staff from both Concept One Media and the Park District will be on-site wearing identification, according to the district's post.

Concept One Media, headquartered at 2723 Curtiss St. in Downers Grove, has produced promotional video for organizations for more than 35 years, including similar park district work for Gurnee Park District.

The district has not said where the finished video will appear or when it will be released.
