Woodridge Public Library has a full slate of late-July and August programs on its calendar, with several already waitlisted and others still open for registration.
The headliner is a Moana-themed island party on Saturday, July 25, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the library's Off-the-Lobby space at 3 Plaza Drive. The event features a hula performance and lessons, games, crafts, and a frozen treat. It's open to children, tweens, teens, and families. Teen volunteers who arrive at 10:45 a.m. can earn two service hours helping run the activities.
Mario and Rosalina storytime
On Wednesday, July 30, the library hosts a Rosalina & Mario Storytime from 6 to 6:30 p.m. in Mahlke Meeting Room AB. The program targets ages 3 to 6, and each child must be registered separately.
Sock Hop Classics returns
Adults and seniors get their turn on Sunday, August 16, when The Saddle Shoe Sisters perform from 2 to 3 p.m. in the Off-the-Lobby space. The retro girl group, which last played the library on May 4, 2025, sings hits from the 1940s through the 1960s. The library encourages attendees to come dressed in poodle skirts and saddle shoes, according to the event listing on woodridgelibrary.org.
