Westmont's second annual Vision & Vibe Fest will fill Veterans Memorial Park with live music, dance performances and more than 30 visual artists on Sept. 12 and 13.

The festival runs both days from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Westmont Park District's Park Place facility, 141 S. Linden Ave., according to the Village of Westmont. Sept. 12 is a Saturday and Sept. 13 is a Sunday. Attendees should bring chairs and blankets for the outdoor stage.

Larry McIntyre, who coordinates the performance schedule, said many of the performing artists have a direct connection to the village. "Westmont has an amazing music scene and many of these musicians either work, live, volunteer, or perform here in Westmont," McIntyre said.

Sept. 12 lineup

The outdoor stage opens at 11 a.m. with Salt Creek Ballet, followed by acoustic guitarist Michael Aponte at noon. Author Amy Quattrone reads novel excerpts and takes audience questions at 1 p.m.

Singer-songwriters fill the early afternoon. Hannah Black performs at 1:30 p.m. Community Unit School District 201 (CUSD 201) music teacher Alison Maris plays original songs at 2 p.m. Country duo Whiskey & Harmony follows at 2:30 p.m.

Teen musicians Daniel and Dylan DiPaolo and guests take the stage at 3 p.m. Rock-pop band Emma & the Dilemma closes the day at 5:15 p.m.

Westmont resident Zola Andonopoulos, who is training with the U.S. Luge team, will hold a meet-and-greet on Sept. 12, according to a July 28 Village of Westmont announcement.

Sept. 13 lineup

Uncle Jon's Music Uke Circle opens at 11 a.m. Bring your own ukulele. Three dance groups perform between noon and 2 p.m.: Expressions Dance Studio, Dynamic Dance Perceptions and Diva Dance.

Briley, a 17-year-old singer-songwriter from Downers Grove with nearly 15 million TikTok likes, performs at 2 p.m. Chicago Blues Hall of Fame inductee Mike Wheeler and his band headline at 3 p.m. Hannah Blue rounds out the weekend with blues and soul starting at 5:15 p.m.

Art, food and family activities

More than 30 area visual artists will display and sell work from tents along the pathway near Park Place, north of Dallas Street. Several artists will give live demonstrations.

Free activities run both days. A Community Art Project takes over the Park Place patio from noon to 3 p.m. A kids' art table runs indoors from noon to 4 p.m. Face painting is available from 2 to 4 p.m. Sept. 12 and 2 to 5 p.m. Sept. 13, and a balloon twister performs from noon to 3 p.m. both days.

Food vendors Joey's Redhots and Taste Greek Street Food will set up under the outdoor pavilion near Dallas Street. Beer and wine come from Taurasi Stile Italiano and Prestige Liquors.

If it rains

In case of bad weather, the festival moves indoors to the Park District Community Center at 75 E. Richmond St.
