Westmont storefronts can get a fresh coat of color heading into the holiday shopping season through the village's Fall Business Window Mural Program, which pairs local businesses with artists who paint original murals on their windows.

Westmont Special Events and the Creative Arts Network announced the program Tuesday, Aug. 25, according to a village notice. Murals will be on display from September through the end of November.

No deadline has been set.

Third seasonal round this year

The fall edition marks the third time the program has run in 2026. A spring session launched in February, and a summer program ran June through August, both coordinated by the same partnership between Westmont Special Events and the Creative Arts Network.

The initiative creates opportunities for Westmont businesses to support local artists while adding visual interest to commercial corridors. Artists design and paint the murals directly on participating store windows, giving each location a one-of-a-kind display during the three-month run.
