A Sprouts grocery store, Chase Bank, drive-thru coffee chain and 96 age-restricted duplex units are headed to the former Zigfield Troy Golf Course on 75th Street in Woodridge after the developer submitted a formal application to the village.
Kensington Development's plan for 1515 75th St. also preserves the existing Lost Mountain mini golf course and adds a Seven Brew drive-thru coffee stand, according to the Village of Woodridge's Fall 2026 Focus Newsletter. The village said it will post updates on its Current Developments webpage as the project advances.
The formal application marks a significant shift from the concept plan Kensington presented at a specially called Plan Commission and Board meeting on Nov. 13, 2025. That earlier version proposed six commercial lots and 220 rental townhomes, drawing organized opposition from residents. The current plan cuts the housing count to 96 age-restricted duplexes and names specific retail tenants.
No village board vote date or construction timeline has been announced.
Seven Brew, founded in Rogers, Arkansas, in 2017, operates dual-lane drive-thrus staffed by baristas the chain calls "Brewistas," offering more than 20,000 drink combinations.
New businesses join 75th Street, Hobson Road corridors
The development news arrives alongside new dining options in Woodridge.
Mayor Gina Cunningham highlighted three businesses in her newsletter letter to residents: "This summer, we were pleased to welcome Lemongrass Thai to 1001 75th Street in the Woodgrove Festival Shopping Center," Cunningham wrote. The village celebrated the Thai restaurant's ribbon-cutting on its official Facebook page.
Lemongrass Thai is open Monday through Friday from noon to 9:30 p.m., Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Ed's Kitchen at 3010 Hobson Road has completed renovations that added a new dining area. The Mediterranean restaurant now offers what the village describes as a modern dining space.
Mike & Laila's Sandwich Shop is expected to open at 3026 Hobson Road, according to the newsletter, though no date has been announced. A Dollar Tree is also coming to the Woodridge Plaza Shopping Center at 75th Street and Janes Avenue.
