An Italian-inspired coffee shop cuts the ribbon on its new Woodridge location on Thursday, Aug. 13, adding a neighborhood café to the Woodgrove Festival Shopping Center at 1001 W. 75th St.
Sociale Café's grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony runs from 5 to 7 p.m., according to Patch. Chamber630, the local business chamber serving communities in the 630 area code, is co-hosting the event and invited members to meet the café's owners and network with other local business operators.
The Village of Woodridge shared the announcement on its official Facebook page.
The café serves Lavazza brand espresso, cappuccino, drip coffee and cold brew alongside a food menu built around Italian sandwiches, pinsa flatbreads and homemade desserts. The menu features a Sicilian truffle panino, a pesto verde sandwich and a signature panino piled with sopressata, pancetta, stracciatella, olives, greens and pistachio butter. On the sweet side, the shop offers berry and Nutella crepes, chocolate cannoli and homemade tiramisu.
The drink menu goes beyond coffee. Smoothies, matcha and other non-coffee options are also available.
Chamber630 described the café as a neighborhood gathering spot for breakfast, lunch, coffee meetings or catching up with friends, highlighting its Italian coffee and homemade desserts in a Facebook invitation to the event.
The café's posted hours are Monday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. No Sunday hours have been announced.
Sociale Café joins a shopping center anchored by Kohl's that also includes Shoe Carnival, Five Below and Starbucks.
