Westmont residents will decide on a $68 million school building bond when they head to the polls for the Nov. 3 general election.

The Westmont Community Unit School District 201 proposition asks voters to approve issuing bonds for school construction, according to the DuPage County proposition listing. Downers Grove Township voters will also see a referendum to levy an annual tax of up to 0.05% for community mental health facilities and services.

Polls open at 6 a.m. and close at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 3. The ballot also includes races for U.S. Senate, governor, and multiple state legislative and county offices.

Early voting locations and hours

Early voting in DuPage County opened Sept. 24 at temporary locations. The Westmont site is at 428 N. Cass Ave. Downers Grove has locations at 850 Curtiss St. and 4500 Belmont Rd. Woodridge voters can cast ballots at 8201 Janes Ave.

Temporary locations offer weekday hours of 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday hours of 9 a.m. to noon. Permanent locations, including the Westmont site, open Monday, Oct. 19, with expanded hours: 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends, according to the DuPage County early voting page.

All early voting sites comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Vote by mail

Mail ballots are available now. Applications can be submitted online, by download, at DuPage County registration locations, or by calling 630-407-5600, according to the DuPage County vote-by-mail page. Spanish-language assistance is available at 630-407-5608.

The county will mail ballots until Thursday, Oct. 29. Completed ballots must be postmarked no later than Election Day to count. DuPage County also offers a permanent vote-by-mail program that sends a ballot automatically for every election.
